League Management Update, December 2023

Several key points arose out of the EWFL committee meeting on Wednesday 13th December 2023.

Firstly, Gerry Tyler has resigned as treasurer, and Trevor Ridley has agreed to take on the role initially for the 2024 season. 

The 2024 season start dates for different age groups have been decided, with changes in tournament fees for hospitality. 

Representative football teams will be formed at all age groups, managed by Gary Murphy with assistance from Simon Crump. 

There are new rules for player registration to prevent dual representation in specific age groups. 

Two new cups and medals for the top four places will be awarded, with costs covered by subscription and tournament fees. 

A new website developed by Trevor Ridley which will replace the League App, saving around £400. 

The format used for the 60s and 65s cup competitions used in the 2023 season will be adopted for all cup games in the upcoming 2024 season.
