About The League
The Essex Walking Football League was formed in 2017 when it ran two age leagues, the over 50s league and the over 60s league. This very quickly expanded to over 65s. After the year out due to the Covid pandemic, the League came back stronger and bigger with multiple divisions in each age category and the introduction of an over 70s league.
The League also formed League Representative teams to feed into nascent England teams and to participate in national competitions against other regional leagues.
