At it's recent AGM the Essex Walking Football League adopted the new FA Laws of the Game.
At the Essex Walking Football League's AGM on Monday 25th November the League adopted the most recent FA Walking Football Laws of the Game while keeping some of the current League player protections.
The main differences were that:
(1) a goal can be scored direct from a corner.
(2) For every team four not walking offences during a game a penalty will be awarded to the opposition.
(3) If a goalkeeper purposely causes the ball to go above cross bar height then an indirect freekick is awarded to the opposition 3 metres from the goal area.
The Management Committee proposed that the League adopt The FA Laws of the Game (LotG) with the following EWFL inclusions:
(1) Tackling will still not be allowed
(2) One step Penalty
(3) The toting up of 3 fouls for a (Blue Card) sin bin offence.
The proposal was carried by the meeting.
The full AGM minutes can be found in the Management Documents area of the website.
